RENOVATION OF THE HIGHWAY TO MEDVEDJA

Medvedja – A section of the Lebane - Medvedja highway, the length of which is three kilometers, is being renovated by the funds of the "Roads of Serbia" company.

The most critical section of the highway, which stretches from Rujkovac to Medvedja, which is full of holes, is being covered with asphalt.

“The road is being covered with top-quality asphalt. We expect it to be completed in a few days, "says Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja.

The asphalt on the regional and narrow road is worn out and full of patches. Over the past 20 years, the local population was being promised that it would be fully revitalized. Mayor Arsic gave the very same promise during the election campaign for the extraordinary local elections, which were held late last year.

“I’m trying to keep the promise. This is just the beginning. We will most likely be doing it bit by bit. We will continue to negotiate with the "Roads of Serbia", Mayor Arsic says.

The paving of the aforementioned section of the highway will cost over 30 million dinars.
