REFUGEE CHILDREN FROM THE RECEPTION CENTRE IN PRESEVO GOT A PLAYGROUND

30. June 2016.

Presevo – The “Save the Children” organization donated to the Presevo Reception Center a playground for the children who, on their refugee route, end up at that center.

On an area of 250 square meters, which is covered by genuine grass, there are jungle gyms, slides, seesaws, swings, as well as five benches.

The “Mobile Corner for Children” team provides to the children at the Reception Centre support through numerous activities, which are both recreational and educational.

“We wanted to donate to them a playground, too, which is a symbol of joy and games, and thus contribute to the becoming of the Presevo Reception Center the place where children feel like children, "said Dubravka Vranjanac from the “Save the Children” organization, and added that when there was no longer a need for the Reception Centers for Refugees, the playground would remain at the disposal of the children from Presevo.

“Save the Children” is the leading self-reliant children’s organization in the world. It has, so far,  existed for 100 years and it operates in 120 countries around the world. The vision of the organization is a world in which every child is entitled to life, protection and development.

Dozens of refugees arrive in the Reception Center in Presevo daily, while at least a third of them are children.
