RCC: THE FIRST "BALKATHON" STARTS, 10,000 EUROS FOR THE BEST IDEAS (DEADLINE: JULY 12, 2020)

The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) is organizing the first online "Balkathon" competition in the Western Balkans with the aim of helping the citizens and businessmen recover from the impact of the Covid-19 virus pandemic that hit them in the first quarter of 2020, as well as to increase their resilience to similar global challenges.

The RCC will support with 10, 000 euros the best ideas for the development of innovative digital solutions in the field of smart tourism, the digital learning platform and the solutions for online payments.

Any newly established small company, center for digital innovations, science and technology park, university, small or medium-sized enterprise, as well as young people from all economies of the Western Balkans, who are interested in digitalization and smart solutions, can apply for the competition.

The call for applications is open from July 1 to 12, 2020, while the awards ceremony will be held online on July 16.

“Balkathon” is funded by the European Union and implemented by the RCC.
