RAGMI MUSTAFA FROM PDD, PRESIDENT OF THE ALBANIAN NATIONAL COUNCIL

Bujanovac – Ragmi Mustafa, an official of the Party for Democratic Action (PDD), was elected the new President of the Albanian National Council.

The inaugural session of the aforementioned council was held in Bujanovac, during which Enver Mehmeti, an official of the Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA), was elected the Vice President of the Council, and where the mandates of all 15 members of the Albanian National Council were verified. 

Seven members of the Council from the opposition left the session immediately after the verification of the mandates and did not stay to vote for the President and the Deputy President of the council.  

The National Council of Albanians will, in the coming mandate, be led by a coalition of six members of the Party for Democratic Action, the President of which is Saip Kamberi – the Mayor of Bujanovac, two members of the Democratic Party of Albanians, the President of which is Ragmi Mustafa, who was in several previous terms the Mayor of Presevo, and who  coincidentally has the same name as the newly elected President of the Albanian National Council.

The Alternative for Change (AP), the President of which is Sciprim Arifi, who is the current Mayor of Presevo, remains in opposition with its four members, followed by two members of the Democratic Party (DP), the Leader of which is Nagip Arifi, who was the Mayor of Presevo  during several previous mandates, as well as the Movement for the Reform of the Albanian Democratic Party, the Leader of which, Sami Salihu, is the President of the Municipal Assembly of Presevo.
