PUBLIC CALL OF THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMY FOR THE AWARD OF GRANTS AS PART OF THE PROMOTION OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE FINANCIAL SUPPORT PROVIDED TO BEGINNERS IN BUSINESS

The program of supporting the development of entrepreneurship through the financial support to beginners in business is conducted by the Ministry of Economy, in cooperation with the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia.

The funds provided for by the program are intended for the financial support through co-financing  the investments of those who wish to start their own businesses, or the existing entrepreneurs, micro and small companies, which are registered with the Business Registry Agency  as early as the year preceding the year of submitting their applications. The program is aimed at boosting the business operations of legal entities and entrepreneurs, employment and sustainable and general development.

The total available grants for implementing the program amount to 150,000,000.00 dinars. The funds earmarked by the Fund for extending loans to business entities under the program amount to 350,000,000.00 dinars. The amount of total investments for entrepreneurs may not be lower than 400,000.00 dinars or larger than 3,000,000.00 dinars. When it comes to legal entities, the said amount may not be lower than 400,000.00 dinars or larger than 6,000,000.00 dinars.  

Business entities that meet the program requirements are eligible to exercise their right to financial support in the form of a grant amounting to 30% of the value of the investment. The remaining amount of the investment will be financed from the Fund’s loans. 

Under the program, the Fund’s loans with the repayment period of up to 5 years will be approved, within which the grace period is one year, and interest rate 1.5% per year, including a bank guarantee or 3% per year, including other collaterals.

The investments that may be financed under the program include: the expansion/reconstruction/ renovation / repair of the office or manufacturing premises, purchase of the equipment (new or used, which isn’t more than five years old) and permanent working capital, which may participate in total investments up to 20% .   

Preference will be given to the applications of business entities whose founders underwent free training in starting business operations under the Program of a Standardized Set of Services, which is implemented through the accredited regional development agencies.

Under the program, the precisely and accurately filled in application for a start-up loan and the application for grants, along with the supporting documents, are to be submitted to the Fund. The addresses of the Fund are: Bulevar Nemanjića 14a, Nis and Knez Mihailova 14, Belgrade.

The public call will be open until the available funds have been spent.
