PUBLIC CALL FOR TRAINING COURSES IN BERLIN AND BUCHAREST ISSUED

Berlin – You are hereby invited to participate in the project on tearing down the walls of Europe’s past and present divisions, which includes two seminars, the first of which is held in Berlin (from March 4 to 12, 2016) and the second in Bucharest (from September 5 to 12, 2016). The project also includes a practice-period for the new-learned non-formal educational approaches in the home countries. The program is intended for trainers and youth workers.

You will learn, try out, discuss and evaluate a large variety of non-formal pedagogical approaches to dealing with the European east-west history and its current consequences. Reflecting on the European history and the still existing stereotypes about “the east” and “the west” is an important part of political education that contributes to a peaceful Europe in the future. The beneficiaries of the training courses will also be informed about the reappraisal of the history of the GDR of Germany and the communist period in Romania. Both training courses include numerous activities, such as going on excursions to historical memorial places, talking with the witnesses of the past historical events and trying out creative and artistic methods, such as street-art.

The language of communication during the training courses will be English, while the food will be vegetarian.

The costs of travelling, accommodation, public transportation, food and the program will be covered by the EU Erasmus+ Program. The only cost to be borne by beneficiaries of the training courses is a participation fee of 100 euros (for both training courses).

It’s important to participate in both training courses and it isn’t possible to apply just for one of them.

The seminars will be attended by participants from Italy, Romania, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Serbia and Germany.
