PUBLIC CALL FOR PARTICIPATION IN BIPS HUB PROGRAM FOR PREMIUM FOOD

The BIPS Hub Program for Premium Food provides support to high quality food producers from Serbia who are already present or have the potential to enter the domestic and foreign markets. The goal is to help domestic companies improve their products in order to better respond to market trends, demand, customer requirements and place them on the appropriate market.

As part of the program Design Hub for Premium Food, the second public call for the support of companies producing premium and high quality foods from the following categories was opened: healthy snacks, vegetable-based spreads, bars, natural functional foods, food for children, protein-rich products based on plants, organic and bio-foods.

The Design Hub for Premium Food program is funded by the USAID's Competitive Economy Project.

Start-ups, companies and social enterprises engaged in the production of premium food products, which are already present on the market or have the potential for entering the domestic and foreign markets, can apply.

All selected users of the BIPS Hub for Premium Food program will be provided all expert assistance and support in the four key areas of product and business development:

- Improving production technology;

- Improving the design of packaging and labels;

- Support for entering the domestic and foreign markets through mediation with large retail chains, HoReCa, on-line channels and export companies;

- Access to funding sources for business improvement.

Priority will be given to the companies that meet the following criteria:

- Those relating to companies: production capacity, presence in the market, experience of the company owner/team;

- Rhose relating to products: degree of innovation, product development phase, raw materials from Serbia, level of added value, technology used, quality standards, market potential, export potential;

- Horizontal criteria: social impact and responsibility.

The application deadline is June 5, 2019.
