PUBLIC CALL FOR GRANTS UNDER THE PROGRAM OF SUPPORT TO THE OPENING OF REGIONAL START-UP INNOVATION CENTERS

The Office of the Minister without Portfolio in charge of Innovations and Technological Development issued a call for grants under the Program of Support to the Opening of Regional Start-up Innovation Centers, for which 250,000,000.00 dinars had been earmarked.

The funds were earmarked for the following measures:

1. The maximum amount of 20,000,000.00 dinars is intended for renovating the premises of a regional start-up innovation center in order to provide the startup with working conditions in terms of infrastructure;

2. The maximum amount of 20,000,000.00 dinars is intended for equipping a regional start-up innovation center for the purpose of providing technical and technological requirements for the operation of start-ups;

3. The maximum amount of 6,000,000.00 dinars is intended for conducting the work program of and managing regional start-up innovation centers for the purpose of ensuring the sustainability of operations and supporting the development activities of start-ups.

The program aims to systematically improve the innovation ecosystem by supporting the opening of regional start-up innovation centers that will, along with similar centers in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis, provide the necessary conditions and equal opportunities for the implementaion of innovative entrepreneurial ideas in Serbia.

Eligible to receive grants are organizations from the innovation ecosystem (scientific, technological, industrial and innovation parks, incubators, accelerators ...) that apply together with the local self-governmental unit and that prove that they have the capacity to open a regional stat-up innovation center.

The call for applications will be open until the funds have been spent.
