PUBLIC CALL FOR APPLYING FOR FUNDED LOCAL ACTIONS AND INITIATIVES

Belgrade – The Working Body for Youth Safety of the Youth Umbrella Organization of Serbia (KOMS) announced a competition for funding local initiatives for improving the safety of young people and advancing the security culture of young people in 12 cities and municipalities in Serbia. The call is open until January 30.

Eligible to apply are the young from 15 to 30 years old, such as members of youth associations, associations for youth and informal youth groups that are composed of at least five members, such as pupil and student parliaments, other youth sections and youth groups from the territory of Vrbas, Sombor, Subotica, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Bujanovac, Vranje, Leskovac, Loznica, Novi Pazar, Uzice and Surdulica.

Creative actions or initiatives should be related to one of the following six topics: emergency situations, environmental security, health security, violence, traffic safety and security on the Internet.

Activities will be undertaken in the period from February 6 to March 6, 2016.

All costs of the approved local initiatives will be paid directly to service providers through the account of the Youth Umbrella Organization of Serbia. The value of a local initiative may amount to up to 90,000 dinars.

The competition is conducted as part of the project "Rejuvenation! New Ideas of Young People for a Better Position of the Youth ", with the financial support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia.
