Money for the repair of damage caused by floods in the municipalities of Bujanovac and Presevo paid fully

The money for repairing the damage caused by the overflowing of the Moravica River, the non-cleaned water flows and large amounts of rainfall in the municipalities of Bujanovac and Presevo was fully paid. Funds in the amount of seven million and 455 thousand dinars were provided from the budget of the Serbian Government by the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.

“Based on the records of the municipal committees, the Coordination Body filed a request to the Government of Serbia, which earmarked the requested funds, said Zoran Stankovic, the Coordination Body’s President. He pointed out that a small financial aid was provided from the budget of the municipality of Bujanovac, thanks to which the damage was fully repaired.

The municipalities of Bujanovac and Presevo were hit by floods by the end of this February.  

"Based on the estimated damage, the funds committed to the Bujanovac municipality amount to 5 million and 137 thousand dinars. Out of that amount, the local community of  Levosoje, whose residents suffered  the most damage from the floods, received 4 million and 510 thousand dinars for repairing the damage, while Presevo received 2 million, 313 thousand and 500 dinars”, said President of the Coordination Body.
