PRESEVO-TABANOVCE BORDER CROSSING TO BE CONSTRUCTED SOON

Presevo, Belgrade – Zorana Mihajlovic, the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, talked with Koca Andjusev, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, about the construction of the Presevo-Tabanovce joint border crossing, when it was agreed to speed up the preparations for the construction of the said crossing point, which would allow all border and customs procedures to be performed only at the Tabanovce railway station - which would shorten the time the trains are detained at the railway stations.

“We agreed to speed up the project, which is supported by the EU as well, and to start building the joint border crossing as soon as possible, if possible as early as in 2019, since the project technical documentation is almost completed, "said Minister Mihajlovic.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia Andjusev said that the setting up of a single border crossing at Tabanovce was in the interest of both the countries and their citizens, that the possible co-financing was also discussed at the meeting, as well as the possibility of starting works as early as in 2019.
