POSITION OF WOMEN IN BUJANOVAC AND PRESEVO

Bujanovac – The Association of Business Women from Bujanovac presented a study on the position of women on the labor market and on the development of women's entrepreneurship.

It was noted that the position of women in Bujanovac and Presevo was extremely unfavorable and that there were more unemployed women than men on the labor market. The largest number of women works in the service activities sector, particularly in trade. The association believes that the means for empowering women include education, training in writing business plans and joining the association.

On that occasion, Fazila Azemovic, the President of the Association of Business Women from Bujanovac, said:

“I think that the system of cooperatives is highly neglected in this region of the country, so that women’s joining of cooperatives, through which they would jointly place a variety of products on the market, is one of the best business opportunities that can be taken advantage of. "
