PERSONS OVER THE AGE OF 75 AND CHRONIC PATIENTS SHOULD CONTACT THE HEALTH CENTER IN BUJANOVAC IN CONNECTION WITH VACCINATION AGAINST THE CORONA VIRUS

Bujanovac - Residents of the municipality of Bujanovac who are over the age of 75, as well as those suffering from chronic diseases aged 64 and over, should contact their chosen doctors if they want to receive the vaccine against COVID-19, it was said at the Bujanovac Health Center.

“Contacting the chosen doctor is necessary for better organization of immunization. It is necessary for citizens from the aforementioned categories to leave a contact phone number where they will be informed about the place, time and date of immunization ", said the Director of the Health Center, Dr. Daliborka Pavlovic.

She also said that chronic diseases included asthma, elevated blood pressure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cancer.

Regarding the announcement of the Municipal Staff for Emergency Situations that the vaccination would start this week, Dr. Pavlovic said that she could not confirm those allegations with 100% certainty, but that she expected the immunization to start soon.

"The Health Center does not have autonomy in requisitioning vaccines, since we have been referred to the Institute for Public Health. When the doses arrive there, we will receive them in accordance with the expressed need. We will see if that will happen this or next week. I expect that it will happen very soon, while we have to organize ourselves very well, "Dr. Pavlovic said.

According to her, the vaccination of healthcare workers was going on well, while about thirty employees of the Bujanovac Health Center had received the vaccine against COVID-19 until then.

For the time being, the Health Center does not have any information on how many residents of the municipality of Bujanovac have electronically expressed interest in receiving the vaccine.
