PENSIONERS CLUB OPENED IN SIJARINSKA SPA

Medvedja – The municipal organization of pensioners from Medvedja opened the Pensioners Club in Sijarinska Spa.

The club is located at the community center in Sijarinska Spa, while it has been fitted out by the funds from the project financed from the municipal budget.

Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, who attended the opening of the club, said that the entry into the third age and retirement usually meant a lower intensity of social life, which was "not good".

“Communication with people keeps us sharp-witted, and even physically active, and these are the basic prerequisites for reducing the risk of various diseases and common problems of the third age, such as dementia, loneliness and depression," Mayor Arsic said.

Miladin Sarac, the President of the Pensioners Association of Medvedja, urged all pensioners and visitors to Sijarinska Spa to spend part of their time at the newly opened club.
