PECUNIARY PRIZES FOR BEST STUDENTS

Medvedja – Milica Stankovic and Dajana Jankovic, students of the generation, received from the local self - government pecuniary prizes in the amounts of 20,000 and 30,000 dinars, respectively, along with the congratulations and wishes to continue receiving excellent school marks.

“We are trying in various ways to reward the efforts and work and to stimulate young people to complete their secondary schools and faculties and to return to their native place, " said Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, at a reception held for excellent students”, who was himself a secondary school student of the generation, an excellent university student and the best soldier.

Milica Stankovic, who was also given a painting by the painter Kosara Velickovic from Medvedja, enrolled in the medical school in Leskovac.

Dajana Jankovic, too, received a painting done by the above-mentioned painter. One day, she will become an English teacher or an interpreter, since she enrolled in the Faculty of Philology in Kragujevac, the Department of English Language and Literature.
