OPENING OF BORDER CROSSINGS: MORE THAN THREE THOUSAND MACEDONIANS ENTERED SERBIA

30. June 2020.

Presevo - From Thursday at midnight, when the border crossing between Serbia and Northern Macedonia was officially opened, until Friday at 7 pm, 3,300 citizens of the neighboring state entered Serbia through the Tabanovci border crossing near Presevo, confirmed the Serbian Ministry of Interior’s Border Police.

The same source stated that the citizens of the municipalities of Kumanovo, Tetovo and Gostivar, and the Macedonian capital Skopje, entered Serbia the most.

Citizens from the neighborhood complied with wearing protective masks, and they enter Serbia without any prior epidemiological control, which is in accordance with the interstate agreement.

As some Serbian media reported, the largest number of residents of Northern Macedonia headed for Vranje, Vlasina Lake, Nis Spa, Paracin and Jagodina.

There were also those who used Corridor 10 as a transit route to EU countries.

Traditionally, a large number of citizens of Northern Macedonia come to Vranje over weekends, so that on Saturday, large crowds are expected in Vranje restaurants, most of which have seats outdoors.
