OPEN COMPETITION FOR GRANTING LICENCES TO LOCAL RADIO AND TELEVISION STATIONS

Belgrade – The Republican Broadcasting Agency (RBA) announced an open competition for issuing broadcasting licenses to local radio and television stations in several regions and districts.

The said competition was announced for Presevo, Blace, Bosilegrad, Crna Trava, Dimitrovgrad, Lebane, Lerskovac, Nis, Bujanovac, Vranjska Banja, Niska Banja, Trgoviste, Sjenica, Boljevac, Bor, Negotin, Zagubica, Veliko Gradiste, Lazarevac, Kragujevac and Pozarevac.

The competition was also announced for Razanj, Rekovac, Batocina, Guca, Raca, Arilje, Bajina Basta, Prijepolje, Krupanj, Mokra gora, Banja Koviljaca, Sabac, Novi Knezevac, Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Kovin, Titel, Zabalj, Apatin, Backa Palanka, Vrbas, Vrdnik, Indjija, Novi Sad, Ruma and Subotica.

Regions that may also obtain the licenses are those of Negotin, Bor, Zajecar, Prijepolje, Priboj and Pribojska Banja.

The deadline for submitting applications is 60 days, while the deadline for reaching decisions is 90 days from the day of publishing a list of those that applied for the licenses. In addition to the application, one should also submit a deposit pay slip. The amount of deposit to be paid depends on the region and the type of license. The broadcaster that wishes to submit applications for several different zones is to pay a deposit for every zone separately.
