OFFICIALLY, THREE PERSONS FROM BUJANOVAC DIED FROM THE CORONA VIRUS

Bujanovac, Vranje - In the Pcinj district, a total of 684 people have fallen ill since the beginning of the epidemic, 545 from Vranje alone, South Serbia News reported.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, 22 people from the district have died, the director of the Vranje Institute for Public Health, Svetlana Stojanović, said for the South Serbia News.

“12 people from Vranje, 4 from Surdulica, 3 from Vladičin Han and Bujanovac and one from Trgovište and Bosilegrad each. Presevo is the only municipality without any deceased persons," Ms. Stojanovic says.

As for other municipalities in the Pcinj district, the virus was confirmed in 65 people from Surdulica, 30 people from Han, 27 from Bujanovac, 7 from Presevo, 4 from Trgovište, and 3 from Bosilegrad.

According to the Director of the Institute, Svetlana Stojanović, in the week from June 22 to 28, 121 newly infected people were recorded, while a large number of them came to the Vranje kovid clinic to be examined.

"A large number of people with bronchopneumonia have been recorded. It is necessary to adhere to the measures, as each of us is responsible for our own health. The fact that there has been an increase in the number of patients in our environment is the result of neglect of health. Any type of gathering is a health risk. The health care system will help when an infection occurs, but that health care system is under attack, too. There are patients among medical workers as well, and in order for it to survive, we must all get involved, "Ms. Stojanovic said.

According to the director of the Vranje Institute for Public Health, 75% of patients are between 25 and 64 years old.

“Most patients, 240 of them, are between 33 and 55 years old. There are 75 patients between the ages of 25 and 34, while 83 patients are between the ages of 55 and 64, "Ms. Stojanovic said. 98 people are currently being treated in Vranje's Covid hospitals.

The city emergency management staff recently declared a state of emergency in the territory of the city of Vranje.
