SUPPORT PROVIDED BY GREAT BRITAIN

Vranje, Bujanovac, Presevo
– Great Britain shall support Serbia regarding Serbia’s submission of a request for the EU membership to the European Commission by the end of the month, said Stephen Wordsworth, the British Ambassador to Serbia, in Bujanovac yesterday.

„Also, once the request for candidacy is accepted and when longer and more complicated negotiations in 35 fields begin, Great Britain shall strongly support Serbia until it becomes a member of the EU,” said for the press the British Ambassador during his several days’ long farewell visit to Vranje, Bujanovac and Presevo.

Speaking of the results of his work in South Serbia, Ambassador Wordsworth said that “Now Albanians have their representative in the parliament, as well as the recently established Albanian National Council”. Mette Kjuel Nielsen, the Danish Ambassador to Serbia, visited South Serbia together with Ambassador Wordsworth.
