NO TRACE OF A MASS GRAVE

10. September 2011.

Representatives of the Commission for Persons that Have Gone Missing During the 1999 War in Kosovo didn’t find any traces of a mass grave in the village of Sijarina, which is situated in the municipality of Medvedja.

“Fourteen one-meter-deep ditches were dug at the disputable fifty-acres- large spot. We didn’t find any traces of a mass grave, nor of a single grave”, said Prenk Cetaj, a member of Pristina’s commission.

In addition to representatives of the Serbian and Albanian delegation of the joint Commission for Missing Persons, the exploring of the disputable spot in the village of Sijarina was assisted by representatives of the UNMIK, EULEX, International Committee for Missing Persons and representatives of the War Crimes Court in Belgrade
