NEW MEASURES: OBLIGATORY WEARING OF FACE MASKS IN MEANS OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Belgrade - Wearing protective masks in means of public transport will be mandatory, is one of the decisions reached at the session of the Crisis Staff for the corona virus epidemic in Serbia, and it will become effective today.

According to the Radio and Television of Serbia, masks will be mandatory in means of public transport, while it was recommended to wear them indoors, too, it was decided at the session of the Crisis Staff. Visits to hospitals will be banned until further notice, reports the RTS reporter.

When it comes to outdoor spaces, a distance of at least a meter and a half is recommended, while all the restrictions that have been valid so far will remain in force in indoor spaces.

Immunologist Srdja Jankovic said after the session that it would not be possible to get on the city and suburban means of public transport without a mask.

It was noted in a statement issued after the session of the Crisis Staff that the masks did not have to be surgical ones, bought at a pharmacy, but the citizens could also use reusable cotton masks.

The Crisis Staff also recommended the establishment of two central COVID-19 hospitals: KBC Bezanijska kosa in Belgrade and the Clinic for Lung Diseases in Nis.
