NEW GRANTEES UNDER THE PROJECT "CREATION OF NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR SELF-EMPLOYMENT IN SOUTH SERBIA"

As part of the project „Creation of New Opportunities for Self- employmen in South Serbia“, 31 contracts on donation were signed in the hall of the Municipal Assembly of Vranje in late December 2013.The project is financed by the "Fondation Caritas Luxembourg" and the city of Vranje. The project, which is implemented by the HELP organization from June 2013 until the end of December 2014, is based on the educational and economic support to the local sustainable development of Vranje and Bujanovac.

The project makes it possible for 31 members of the socially disadvantaged groups in Vranje and Bujanovac to launch their own businesses by using the granted equipment, so that 14 service and 17 craft businesses will be set up.

Special attention was given to vulnerable groups of the population, which include young people, the unemployed, single parents, people with disabilities and the Roma population. There are 10 women and 21 men among the beneficiaries of donations, as well as 19 beneficiaries that are under the age of 35, out of whom 11 are Roma

The signing of grant contracts between the beneficiaries and the HELP organization was attended by the mayor of Vranje Zoran Antic, Head of the "Foundation Caritas Luxembourg" in Serbia Predrag Ranić, the deputy mayor of Vranje Boban Stankovic and HELP South Serbia Manager Masa Bubanj.
