“MUSEUM OF VIOLENCE” IN BUJANOVAC

3. June 2014.

An exhibition entitled "The Museum of Violence", where medical records of victims of violence are displayed, was opened at the “Vuk Karadzic” cultural center in Bujanovac. The exhibition was held thanks to the support of the Office of Human and Minority Rights and the Fund for an Open Society.

Visitors to the exhibition were able to see the X-rays, statements, photographs and medical reports of the injuries suffered by victims of violence, which were the result of discrimination, domestic violence, bullying and violence committed against minorities and marginalized social groups.

Radojica Buncic, the project implementer,  who is a member of the "Cultural Park" organization, urged the residents and young people of the municipality of Bujanovac to deliver to the organization all subjects and all documentation that indicated that they were once victims of violence. Victims of violence can also personally address the organization. He said that the people in all the cities of Serbia, regardless of their nationality, religion, color, sexual orientation, etc, faced violence or discrimination and he told the citizens of Bujanovac that should feel free to report them, as well as all other forms of violence perpetrated against women, children and vulnerable persons.
