Bujanovac - The municipality of Bujanovac is sending aid to the flood-affected residents of the municipalities of Paracin, Smederevska Palanka and Despotovac.

Nedzat Behljuli, from the Local Economic Development Office, said that the Municipal Council had reached a decision on collecting aid at the meeting held on May 21.

“It was unanimously decided that the municipality of Bujanovac should join the campaign aimed at collecting humanitarian aid for the municipalities affected by the floods, while special funds will be allocated for that purpose,” said Mr. Behljuli.

He added that aid in clothing had also been collected.

“A tow truck with drinking water was provided to the municipalities of Paracin and Smederevska Palanka, each containing 22 thousand liters of water. A truck with hygienic items, as well as with indoor and outdoor disinfectants, was sent to the municipality of Despotovac”, said Mr. Behljuli.  

In addition, the campaign aimed at collecting humanitarian aid was launched at all  Albanian schools and all schoolchildren, who donate money, clothes, canned food and toiletries, take part in it. At the same time, all the teachers working in these schools collect financial support for the population of Serbia affected by the floods, "said Mr. Behljuli.
