MR. STANKOVIC: VISIT OF THE ALBANIAN PRESIDENT TO MEDVEDJA APPROVED

Belgrade, Medvedja – “State bodies of the Republic of Serbia approved a two-day visit of Ilir Meta, the President of Albania, to the municipality of Medvedja, which is private and which is scheduled for November 26 and 27, "Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, said.

“The President of Albania will pay a private visit, which the state bodies were notified of and which they approved. Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, and I will meet him at the administrative crossing at Mutivode,” Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body, said. 

Mr. Stankovic also said that Ljema Djema, the Assistant to the Mayor of Medvedja, had informed him   that the President of Albania requested an informal discussion with the Albanian and Serbian members of the Municipal Assembly of Medvedja, “with the aim of proving that Serbs and Albanians can live together.”  

Mr. Stankovic also learned from Ms. Djema that no organized visits of the Albanians from Presevo and Bujanovac, “or from anywhere else”, to Medvedja were expected during the stay of the President of Albania.
