Bujanovac - The employees of the veterinary station in Bujanovac expect that the local self-government will resore  a 15 year-old way of subsidizing artificial insemination of cattle through the Bujanovac veterinary station.

On the eve of the third exhibition of cattle of Simmental breed, which is organized by the veterinary station at the Bujanovac stadium on Saturday, Dr Miodrag Milkovic reminds that the Bujanovac municipality, after 15 years, abolished the subsidized insemination of cows and tried to grant the subsidies on its own.

“The old-fashioned way of subsidizing through the veterinary station could not be overcome by the introduced change, because the owners had to bear the costs of coming to the municipality. The only subsidized cattle are those that are inseminated for the first time. Also, the local self-government abolished the subsidies for non-registered cattle and for those owners of cattle who did not have farms. Technically, it was a problem and it caused costs, so that the veterinary station itself subsidizes all the cattle in the municipality of Bujanovac, or the costs to the economic price, so that the efffects of the 15-year long work on subsidizing artificial insemination would not be nullified,” Mr. Milkovic said.

He expects that this way of doing things will last until December 31, 2017, since the veterinary station intends to persuade the municipality of Bujanovac to go back to the old way of subsidizing.
