MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE’S GRANTS FOR IRRIGATION EQUIPMENT

Grants that may be obtained for the purchase of the irrigation equipment are specified in the rules on incentives for supporting investments in the primary agricultural production. The irrigation equipment that may be purchased includes the following: irrigation pumps, power generators to run the pumps, “drop by drop” irrigation systems, sprinkler systems and irrigation systems for protecting from frost.

The subsidized purchase price of the irrigation equipment is 40-55% of the price, excluding VAT.

The amount of subsidies depends on whether the beneficiary of incentives is located in a marginal incentive area with difficult working conditions in agriculture or not. If the beneficiary of incentives is located in marginal areas, the amount of subsidies is 55% of the price, without taxes.

Eligible for receiving incentives are: physical persons - holders of the registered commercial family farms; entrepreneurs; legal entities: companies, agricultural cooperatives, secondary schools and scientific and research organizations in the field of agriculture.

The limit for getting subsidies is a maximum of 50 hectares of land under the vegetable culture for which the equipment and machinery will be used.

The maximum total amount of incentives per applicant is 3,000,000.00 dinars.

The respective equipment and machinery must be purchased during the period from October 16 of the previous calendar year to October 15 of the current year.

The amount of an individual invoice and the amount of each item on the invoice must be greater than 50,000.00 dinars.

Requests for the use of incentives in each calendar year are to be submitted to the Directorate for Agricultural Payments in the period from April 15 to October 15 of the current year.

A filled-in and signed application form, along with the appropriate documentation, is to be submitted to the following address: The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection – the Directorate for Agricultural Payments, Bulevar kralja Aleksandra 84, 11050 Belgrade, stating: "The request for the use of incentives for supporting investments in the primary production of crops".
