MINISTER OF JUSTICE ON THE NEW NETWORK OF COURTS IN SOUTH SERBIA

16. December 2013.

"The requirements of the Albanians from South Serbia related to the network of courts are absolutely irrational and unrealistic," said Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic. He pointed out that the issue had to be resolved through dialogue and not through blackmail, threats and the breaking off of the talks, because the problem would, thus, be only deepened.

On that occasion, Minister of Justice said:

"There is a special Magistrates Court in Presevo, while the new network of courts provides for a special Basic Court in Bujanovac. The analysis that we did, which concerned exclusively the human resources capacities and the number of the existing facilities in Presevo and Bujanovac, showed that the needs of these two municipalities would be satisfied by one Basic Court. A far bigger problem is that we don’t have the adequately trained and educated candidates, who are members of the Albanian community, who would apply for the public notary exam and the executor’s exam.
