MINI BASKETBALL FESTIVAL IN BUJANOVAC

29. September 2015.

Bujanovac - The two-day Mini Basketball Festival entitled "Save the Children", which was held in Bujanovac over the past weekend, was attended by around 400 young basketball players from all parts of Serbia, as well as by those from Macedonia and the Republic of Srpska.

The tournaments were played at the “Mladost” sports hall, as well as at the hall of the "Branko Radicevic" elementary school.

The Mini Basketball Festival was held on the first day of the event, after which a mini-tournament for pioneer girls was held, while a tournament for pioneer boys was played on the second day of the event.

“There are a lot of good basketball teams, the matches are wonderful, while the most important thing is that children socialize and compete", said Zoran Kostadinović, the coach of the “Actavis” basketball club from Leskovac.

That was the goal of the host and organizer of the event, the youth basketball club "Play 017", in which 200 Serbian, Albanian and Roma pioneers and youths practice basketball.

“We wanted to to show the children, not only by words, but by actions as well, that they are  most important to us. We wished to show that we care about them, because the children are our greatest wealth", said Nenad Stajić, the coach of the “Play 017” youth basketball club from Bujanovac.

The sponsor of the tournament was the US Embassy in Belgrade. All the players received medals and letters of thanks, while all the clubs got cups.
