MAYOR KAMBERI IN A MEETING WITH THE BRITISH AMBASSADOR

17. October 2017.

Bujanovac – “I asked Denis Keefe for the support related to initiating with the Government of the Republic of Serbia the resumption of talks on the Seven-Point Plan from 2013, "said Saip Kamberi, the Mayor of Bujanovac, after meeting with the British Ambassador.

Mayor Kamberi said that he would, on October 19, attend a meeting of the “Friends of South Serbia” group, which consists of the ambassadors of twenty or so countries to Serbia.

“I attended the meeting in 2011, and that was the last time a representative of the local self-government participated in it.  We were represented by Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body, but he, as a state governmental official, represented the interests of the Government of Serbia, which were often opposite to ours, "Mayor Kamberi said.

He said that he would discuss the Seven-Point Plan with Prime Minister Ana Brnabic in Belgrade on Tuesday, and added that key topics of discussion would include integration of the Albanians and problems in education.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Seven-Point Plan on June 4, 2013.
