At today’s session of the Municipal Assembly of Presevo, a decision was reached on a change of the local government, which consisted of the Party for Democratic Action (4 members of the Serbian National Assembly from Presevo) of Riza Halimi and the Democratic Party of Albanians (12 members of the Serbian National Assembly from Presevo) of Ragmi Mustafa. The new coalition majority is going to include the Democratic Party of Albanians (12 members of the Serbian National Assembly from Presevo), the Democratic Union of the Valley (5 members of the Serbian National Assembly from Presevo) of Skender Destani, MD, a group of citizens of Rahmi Zulfiju (4 members of the Serbian National Assembly from Presevo. The coalition majority will have 21 seats in the local parliament that has 38 seats. Mayor of Presevo Nader Sadiku, who is from the Party for Democratic Action of Albanians, will be replaced by Ragmi Musatfa from the Democratic Party of Albanians. The newly elected President of the Municipal Assembly of Presevo is going to be Skender Destani, MD, from the Democratic Union of the Valley, who will replace Ragmi Mustafa from the Democratic Party of Albanians. Those who are well-acquainted with political situation in Presevo think that the local government was changed because the coalition partner of the Democratic Party of Albanians disagreed with the activities of the Party for Democratic Action and of MP Riza, which concern the governmental bodies.
