MACHINES FOR FACTORY IN MEDVEDJA ARRIVING

Medvedja - The final phase of equipping the pellet plant, which is situated in the hall of the former "Termovent" factory in Medvedja, is in progress. The first batch of machines for the future pellet factory has already arrived in Medvedja, said yesterday the responsible persons in the municipality. It is expected that the remaining machines will reach the factory in five lorries by the beginning of July, most likely by the beginning of that month. The arrival of professional teams from the Slovenian "Biogen" company is announced for today, who will determine the site where in the factory’s hall the new equipment will be installed and design the internal electrical installation.

The developer of the project is the municipality of Medvedja, while the import of the machinery and development of technical documentation was made possible thanks to the Government of Slovenia’s donation, through the Center for International Development and Participation and in partnership with the municipality of Medvedja.

The reconstruction of the building of the former "Termovent" factory, where pellets will be produced, was funded by the EU PROGRESS.

Slobodan Draskovic, the major of Medvedja, said that 30 to 50 people would be employed at the factory.
