"KIDS FOR KIDS"HUMANITARIAN EVENT HELD IN MEDVEDJA

7. June 2018.

Medvedja – The "Mladost" preschool institution from Medvedja has been organizing humanitarian events for a decade and a half and donating the collected money to the families that needed it the most at the moment.

Yesterday, the hall of the Cultural Center in Medvedja was too small to accommodate all those who wanted to attend the event and thus contribute to the humanitarian campaign. Children aged 2 to 6 danced, sang and recited in order to help young Jelena Milosevic from Gorna Ravna Spa.

Children from the nursery’s older group and preschoolers, with the assistance of their teachers, had drafted the traditional and more modern choreographies. Children from the central kindergarten in Medvedja took part in the program, as well as those from kindergarten groups at Gazdare, Rujkovac, Lece, Retkocer, Sijarinska Spa, Ravna Spa and Tulare. A group of Albanian preschool children also performed at the event.

A contribution box, in which donations were collected, was placed at the very entrance to the Cultural Center.

Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, said that such events proved that solidarity among people still existed.

“This is proof that when someone needs help, we all get involved, and I'm glad that the hall is full of people who want to help, since someone’s small donation means a lot to the person who needs it, "Mayor Arsic said, adding that the municipality and he personally would always support such events.
