January 17, 2011 - JOURNALISTS FROM SOUTH SERBIA IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH BRUSSELES AND WASHINTGTON

17. January 2011.

Vranje – „Reporters of the local and central Belgrade media from South Serbia will soon be in a position to have the news for the front page , since they will be able , via a video link, to contact the NATO and EU officials in Brussels and Washington,“ said Nadica Stosic, the Head of the „Initiative for Integration“ NGO. She also said that the project would be implemented in cooperation with NATO’s Public Diplomacy Department in the course of February 2011.

According to the „Initiative for Integration“ NGO, which is the only  civil society organization dealing with Euro-Atlantic integrations in South Serbia’s volatile region, this region, which leans on the Serbian-Bulgarian and Serbian-Macedonian boarders, as well as on the administrative line with Kosovo,  would, in this way, win recognition. This will be a chance to improve providing information on the current NATO activities, as well as on the UN’s security activities not only in the Balkans, but also in the whole world, which, according to the said NGO, hasn’t been the case so far.
