INTERNSHIP PROGRAM COMPLETED

On Friday, April 26, 2013, the completion of the third cycle of  "The Internship pPogram for Young People – Members of Minorities in State Institutions of the Republic of Serbia" was marked. Certificates of successful completion of the internship program were awarded by the British Ambassador Michael Davenport, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Laurent Stokvis and Director of the Office of Human and Minority Rights Suzana Paunovic.



Over the six- month period, twelve male and female interns from the Albanian, Bosnian and Roma communities were gaining knowledge of the state administration by being involved in the activities of the institutions that support the program.  Young people from the said three ethnic communities were doing their internship program at the Office of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, the Office of Human and Minority Rights, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Team for Social Inclusion and the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society.  

The certificate-awarding ceremony was preceded by a two-day workshop during which the interns, along with their mentors, summed up the impressions gained in the program.

The internship program is implemented by the Office of Human and Minority Rights, with the support of the British Embassy and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
