INCENTIVES FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF YOUNG BEEKEEPERS, FARMERS AND PROFESSIONALS

Medvedja – The German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia, is implementing the project “Encouraging Youth Employment.” 

On October 30, Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, signed, on behalf of the municipality of Medvedja, a Memorandum of Understanding with the German GIZ organization, which was represented by Heinz-Dieter Harbers, the Project Manager. 

The agreement is aimed at establishing continuous cooperation and communication between the signatories at the local level and in connection with the implementation of youth employment. The project seeks to establish a model of local employment initiatives with the support of youth offices, schools, the National Employment Office and other institutions in the area of ​​defining the active labor market policy measures by which the problems and challenges of youth employment would be solved.

The project implementers will transfer their gained experience to the national dialogue on the promotion of youth employment, which is a multidisciplinary platform for dialogue.

The Memorandum envisages cooperation in the implementation of the following three measures: Support and promotion of employment of young beekeepers; Support and encouragement of  youth employment in agriculture and Promotion of employment among young people through vocational training for the labor market and the known employer.

Partners on the project, the GIZ and the municipality of Medvedja, agreed that the cooperation would last until completion of the project, or until December 2019.
