IMPLEMENTATION OF THE "YOUTH WITHOUT BORDERS" PROJECT

28. October 2015.

Medvedja – The "Libertas" association of citizens from Medvedja, along with its partners from Lebane and Bojnik, implements the "Youth without Borders" project. The project is financed from the budget of the Republic of Serbia or the Office for Human and Minority Rights, as part of the program "Implementation of Anti-Discrimination Policies in the Republic of Serbia".

The project is aimed at raising awareness about the importance of youth participation in the activities of the local community, information, the development and encouragement of education and public awareness of the importance of tolerance and respect for diversity for the purpose of reducing discrimination.

The project includes three events related to the promotion of traditional dishes and games that will be organized in cooperation with governmental institutions and culture and art clubs. The events are aimed at introducing and gathering young people, so that they could have fun, socialize and get to know the cultures of other nationalities. The young included in the project will have the opportunity to perform local traditional dances, while the experienced housewives will be able to display local specialties and exchange the experiences of local cuisine.

The events are important factors for exploring tourist destinations in South Serbia, which are expected to attract many visitors.

The first event was held in Medvedja on October 11, while the second and third one will be held in Lebane and Bojnik in November.
