HUMANITARIAN AID COLLECTION FOR MIGRANTS IN PRESEVO BEGINS SOON

The Human Rights Committee Office in Vranje and the SOS phone in Vranje will soon launch a campaign for collecting humanitarian aid for migrant women and children who are temporarily residing at the Reception Center for Migrants in Presevo.

The responsible from the Committee say that they will appeal to all the citizens to help by donating primarily items for maintaining hygiene, diapers and some clothing for the children.

Also, representatives of the Office of the Committee for Human Rights spoke with the citizens of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria and other countries and concluded that there was no racial or religious discrimination, and that "the situation regarding the providing of specific information on their rights and obligations by members of the governmental bodies and humanitarian organizations, as well as by representatives of the local self-government, was satisfactory. 

Let us just remind you that according to the most recent data of the Red Cross, between 800 and 1,000 migrants arrive in Presevo per day.
