HAZARDOUS LANDSLIDE IN LECE

Medvedja A landslide, which had been caused by a heavy rainfall in the upper part of the Jablanica region, stated coming down a steep slope in Lece.  Since it poses a danger to the environment and the flow of traffic on the local road, which is of great importance to the operation of the “Lece” mine, it needs to be remedied as soon as possible.  

On that occasion, Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, along with his associates and representatives of the PE "Roads of Serbia", visited Lece and underscored that the municipality of Medvedja would solve the problem in accordance with an emergency procedure.

The speedy remediation of the landslide will be funded by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), while the value of the works is estimated at around 80,000 euros.
