15. December 2016.

Bujanovac – Yesterday, the Emergency Department of the Health Center in Bujanovac received   the essential equipment for emergency treatment of patients. Mrs. Karin, a representative of the German "Humedica" humanitarian organization, who is the coordinator between the said organization and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, presented to the Emergency Department of the Bujanovac Health Center a mobile automatic defibrillator that is used for cardiac arrests, a resuscitation kit, an oxygen bottle, 65 oxygen masks, 12 sets for the immobilization of complex injuries and a wheelchair. The total value of the donated equipment is over 3,000 euros.

The cooperation with the German "Humedica" humanitarian organization began at the Reception Center for Migrants in Presevo, where the medical team from Bujanovac was engaged.

“On that occasion, we talked about the conditions in which we worked, as well as about the items of medical equipment what we lacked. By yesterday's donation,  the German humanitarian organization confirmed that it appreciated our contribution to assisting migrants from the beginning of the refugee crisis, when we were engaged in Miratovac and Presevo, while we are, now, engaged at the new Reception Centre in Bujanovac, too. Of course, Lela Jovanovic, MD, the Head of the Health Center in Bujanovac, was familiar with the initiative, as well as with all the talks, "said Sasa Arsic, the chief technician at the Emergency Department of the Health Center in Bujanovac.

The Emergency Department takes care of the patients in Bujanovac and of those in the surrounding villages. It performs around 80 examinations a day. It has five vehicles, nine physicians, 12 nurses and a technician at its disposal.
