FIRST EXHIBITION OF SIMMENTAL BREED OF CATTLE "BUJANOVAC 2015”

Bujanovac – The Veterinary Station in Bujanovac, under the auspices of the local self-government, is organizing the first exhibition of the Simmental breed of cattle "Bujanovac 2015". The exhibition will be held at the football stadium at the village of Levosoje on Saturday, September 26, commencing at 12 am.

The employees of the Veterinary Station in Bujanovac, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, have already selected 117 animals that will compete for the prizes and the title of the best cattle by categories, while the organizer of the exhibition has prepared valuable prizes.

Each cattle owner will receive a pecuniary amount of 3,000 dinars, and each exhibited cow will be inseminated by an elite bull from the Center for Artificial Insemination in Velika Plana, while the prize is valued at 5,500 dinars; winner cows, which will also receive prizes, will be selected in each category. In addition, awards will be given to the owners of the top five cows, as well as to the overall winner of the exhibition. Also, the organizer will award a catalog to each owner of the exhibited cattle, who will subsequently send them CDs on the exhibition.

Miodrag Milkovic, the Director of the Veterinary Station in Bujanovac, said that the exhibition was a great and important event:

The Veterinary Station in Bujanovac bears in mind that mating the best with the best results in the best. That is why this exhibition is a major event in the municipality of Bujanovac, where 70 percent of people make a living live from agriculture. It is an event for South Serbia as well, because it will inevitably affect the composition of the livestock, which will be reflected in the strengthening of agriculture, the only economic branch in Serbia that produces a surplus in trade exchange with the world", Mr. Milkovic said.
