FESTIVAL OF RECITALS “THE POET OF MY PEOPLE”

Leskovac – A regional festival of recitals "The Poet of My People" was held at the Cultural Center of Leskovac, in which a hundred children from Leskovac, Biojnik, Vucje, Vlasotince, Pecenjevac, Medvedja and Lebane took part.

The festival of recitals was organized by the Jablanica district branch office of the Society for the Serbian language and literature of Serbia, as well as by the Cultural Center of Leskovac.

The participants were split up, by their age, into the following three categories: younger age - from the first to the fourth grade of elementary school, middle age- from the fifth to the eighth grade of elementary school and older age - secondary school pupils.

The three-member jury consisting of teachers of the Serbian language and literature decided on the quality of the pupils’ recitals, while the winners of the regional festival directly qualified for the republican one, which will be held in Valjevo in May.
