FESTIVAL OF FIDDLE-PLAYERS HELD IN MEDVEDJA

16. May 2018.

Medvedja -  The 26 th. festival of fiddle-players was held in Medvedja, in which over 50 connoisseurs of the ancient instrument participated. The festival is a traditional event, while this year's host of the festival was Milan Toković.

One of the participants, Ognjen Andrić, who is the 19th on the list fiddle-player from Kragujevac, says that the fiddle erases the line between the past and the future, between the young and the old, and that such meetings were the opportunity to maintain the tradition.

Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, said that the event was a good opportunity to familiarize the guests with the natural beauty of Medvedja, but also to sing in the nature.

Milan Mrdovic from Belgrade’s Association of Fiddle-Players “Serdar Janko Vukotic”, who is this year’s winner of the festival, will have the best memories of the festival.
