EU DONATES 20 VEHICLES FOR ROMA ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

As part of the project “We are Here Together – the European Support to the Roma Inclusion”, which is worth 4.8 million euros, funded by the EU and implemented by the OSCE Mission to Serbia, twenty local self-governments received “Dacia” all-terrain vehicles, which were   presented to them at the Palace of Serbia, in the presence of Minister Jadranka Joksimovic, the Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport and the Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Peter Burkhard. 

The vehicle donation is the result of the EU's efforts to improve the position of Roma in Serbia. The vehicles will be used by mobile teams of health and social workers in the field.

The donation of 20 vehicles is worth 200, 000 euros. They were given to the municipalities of Bujanovac, Bojnik, Bela Palanka, Valjevo, Vranje, Zitoradja, Palilula, Zvezdara, Knjazevac, Kovin, Koceljeva, Kragujevac, Krusevac, Leskovac, Novi Sad, Odzaci, Pancevo, Prokuplje, Smederevo and Sombor.
