EMERGENCY SITUATION IN THE TERRITORY OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA

Belgrade - At the proposal of the Republican Center for Emergency Situations, the Government of the Republic of Serbia declared an emergency situation in the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

The decision was made as a preventive measure that would speed up and facilitate the functioning of all bodies of the Republic of Serbia for the purpose of protecting the lives and safety of people and goods and eliminating the consequences of floods.

The government of the Republic of Serbia will have meetings with the Republican Center for Emergency Situations on a daily basis, will continuously monitor the situation in the field and inform the citizens, it was said in the statement issued by the Office of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for Cooperation with the Media.

The migrant crisis makes the overall situation more difficult, so that the Army of Serbia will be helping the border police in the days ahead. The Government of the Republic of Serbia urges all citizens to comply with its decisions and do everything within their power to prevent larger consequences of the future critical rainy period.
