EARTHQUAKE IN THE VICINITY OF BUJANOVAC

4. March 2014.

Bujanovac – On Sunday evening, the residents of Pcinj district were struck by an earthquake, the epicenter of which, according to the Republican Seismological Office, was in the village of Zbevac, the municipality of Bujanovac.

The earthquake in question measured 3.6 degrees on the Richter scale, which, according to the officials of the Seismological Office, is one of the so-called "sensory" shocks, which doesn’t cause greater damage to property.

Also, in the morning of February 26, a weaker earthquake was registered in this region, only a mile southwest of the epicenter of the Sunday's earthquake.

No damage has been reported so far, but the Seismological Office’s officials say that subsequent mild earthquakes might occur, which will be registered only by the Seismological Office’s instruments.
