Yesterday, a group of young lawyers from Presevo and Bujanovac began its two-day visit to Belgrade, during which members of this group are going to have talks with representatives of governmental and non-governmental institutions for protection of human rights. The visit was organized by the Youth Initiative for Human Rights, while the project is supported by the British embassy in Belgrade.

During the visit, 15 young male and female lawyers are going to meet with Minister of Human and Minority Rights Svetozar Ciplic, as well as with a representative of the Civil Rights Defenders organization Goran Miletic.

Future male and female lawyers from Presevo and Bujanovac are going to have talks with Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and for Protection of Data on Persons, as well as with Ombudsman Sasa Jankovic, with whom they will talk about legal mechanisms for protection of citizens. Also planned is a meeting with Nenad Djurdjevic, Director of the Serbian Government’s Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.
