CONTRACTS ON THE REVITALIZATION OF FIELD ROADS SIGNED

Medvedja – Pursuant to the Decree on developing the program of protection, development and use of agricultural land in 2016 and the Call for fixing up field roads, which was issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, contracts with 59 local self-governments, which had meet the requirements stipulated in the Decree and the Call, were signed yesterday.

“The total value of the investment is 691.6 million dinars, while the Ministry of Agriculture’s share is 304 million dinars, and by those funds, which will be fully utilized thanks to the signing of the contracts, we will fix up, over the next 120 days, around 905 kilometers of field roads," said Ms. Bogosavljevic Boskovic. She also said that local companies would be engaged for the revitalization of the roads.

Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, signed the contract on behalf of that municipality. 80,400 m2 will be revitalized in the municipality of Medvedja. For that purpose, 7,676,203 dinars will be allocated from the budget of the Republic of Serbia, as well as 9,882,596 dinars from the budget of the municipality of Medvedja.

According to Nebojsa Arsic, a public procurement for selecting the best bidder will be issued immediately, so that the works could start as soon as possible.
