CELEBRATION OF THE SAINT SAVA’S DAY IN BUJANOVAC

Bujanovac – The marking of the Saint Sava’s Day in Bujanovac will start with a theological academy and the sermon of Archpriest Sinisa Piljanovic on the life of St. Sava, the first Serbian archbishop and educator, at the large hall of the "Vuk Karadzic" community center at 12.30 am on Friday.  

The organizers of the event are the Bujanovac parish and the "Branko Radicevic" elementary school" from Bujanovac, whose students are going to perform a play made for that occasion.

Included in the agenda of the event is also the awarding of St. Sava’s prizes to students for their literary works and paintings. 

On Saturday, January 27, on the Saint Sava’s Day, a liturgy will be held at the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Bujanovac, along with the cutting of the patron’s saint cake.

Also, the second collection of children’s poems by Miodrag Tomic, who is from the village Bozinjevac, will be promoted at the small hall of the Bujanovac community center. The event will commence at 6 pm. 

An hour later, members of the Bujanovac amateur theater will perform a play at the large hall of the community center.
