CALL FOR THE SLADJANA VELJKOVIC AWARD IN JOURNALISM

Bujanovac - The association called the Center for Media Transparency and Social Responsibility established an award in journalism that bears the name of Sladjana Veljkovic, the prematurely deceased journalist from Vranje.

Eligible to apply are print and online media journalists, as well as those from television stations in the territory of the Republic of Serbia and regional editorial boards that report in the Serbian language.

Journalists and editorial boards can compete for the best reporting, editing work in the local media and the journalistic endeavor of the year.

Works can be e-mailed to nagradasladjanaveljkovic@gmail.com  by June 15, 2019 at the latest.

The contents published in the period from July 8, 2018 to June 15, 2019 will be taken into consideration.

Three equal awards in the form of a plaque and a sum of 200 euros in the dinar counter-value will be granted.

The sponsor of the awards is the "British American Tobacco" company.

The award for the best editorial work will be awarded as a tribute to her editorial work at the “Vranjske” weekly, where she worked for many years. During the last three years before her death, she was a correspondent of the "Evening News" daily from South Serbia.

The award will be granted for the first time in 2019.

Sladjana Veljkovic died on July 8, 2011 at the age of 41.
